Dr. Kim Hunter
Owner / Veterinarian

Kim is an accomplished Veterinarian, entrepreneur and HeartSpeak practitioner.  Known for her interest in alternative and holistic therapies, Kim thrives on working with people to solve their pet’s health concerns.  Her visionary perspective has brought her to some of the most remote communities of our province with her state-of-the-art Satellite Clinic to improve the quality of life for the many pets that may not readily have access to Vet services.  

Now in her 40th year of practice, Kim strives to share her knowledge through community outreach, public education and a growing collection of resources.  She has established her clinic as a regional destination that is known for personal, caring and quality service.  Along with her team, Kim is based out of her clinic on Main St., Smithers.  On her days off, you’ll find Kim exploring the backcountry of the beautiful Bulkley Valley with her favorite four-legged friends.

Sally Koch
Office Manager

With many years of experience managing teams in Vet clinic settings, Sally is a seasoned office manager that has helped Vet to Pet grow and expand since beginning in 2017.

Sally leads the general operations of the clinic and is responsible for client service; health and safety; product management; and ensuring all the right systems are in place so the clinic runs smoothly.

Most important to Sally is providing efficient and insightful service to clients in order to earn their trust, referrals and repeat business, Clients appreciate her depth of knowledge and ability to make them and their pets feel at ease.

As a long time resident of Smithers, Sally is happiest fishing on the local lakes and spending quality time with her family.

Gabrielle Dudek
Veterinary Technician

Gabrielle is our Vet Tech, who spends most of her days helping animals, running diagnostics, analyzing tests and ensuring all of our medications and medical supplies are stocked and well organized. 

Hailing from Ontario, she joined the Vet to Pet team in 2018 with a Veterinary Technician diploma from Northern College.  She has a special interest is wildlife rehabilitation and has assisted in sanctuaries.  Known for her compassionate and caring ways, her contributions to the clinic are significant in the treatment of our animal patients.

With a passion for animals and a love of the great outdoors, you’ll find Gabrielle traveling throughout BC with her cuddly cat by her side.

Sydney Foxcroft
Vet & Clinic Assistant

Sydney pairs a broad range of experience in project management with a deep understanding of animal behavior and husbandry.  She plays an integral role in assisting Dr. Kim from administration to pet support to coordinating the Satellite Vet tours.

Originally from Kamloops and now based in Telkwa, Sydney seeks to share her expertise and utilize her talents to drive team collaboration, enhance client relationships and deliver high impact solutions.  In addition to her work at the clinic, she offers dog training workshops and is also building a farm for all her animals including dogs, horses and chickens.

Marley Meer
Clinic Assistant

Originally from Mission, BC; Marley has lived in Smithers for the past seven years.  She came to work at Vet to Pet in 2019 and graduated from Smithers Secondary School in 2020.

Marley is a driven, self-starter and has a sharp aptitude for learning on the job.  Her main duties include assisting during surgery and exams, as well as, ensuring the clinic is clean, tidy and well organized.

She is also an aspiring entrepreneur who started her own business called ‘Marley Pops’, a mobile treat stand that travels to local festivals and features homemade artisanal popsicles and delicious hot beverages.

An avid animal lover, Marley loves to relax and spend quality time with her two dogs, Charlie and Rosa and her three cats, Lily, Loki and Djinn.

Loralie Dewar
Clinic Assistant

As a trained Veterinary Technician, Loralie takes a great interest in the health and wellbeing of animals and their owners.  You’ll find her at the clinic on Saturdays managing a variety of projects and helping to keep things scheduled and running smoothly.  Loralie is a horse enthusiast and currently lives in Telkwa with her husband, two kids, horses, cats and beloved dog.
